The Tri-State Cup is a women only freestyle wrestling tournament open to all experience levels in ACT, NSW and Victoria.

• For beginners, it’s a stepping-stone onto bigger competitions. It gives athletes the experience and confidence to have a go at the State Championships, Nationals and other great events of that calibre.
• For experienced competitors, this comp is great to test out new things the athletes are working on and get matches in.

• The tournament is run in a round robin format. Every competitor is guaranteed three matches.
• It’s free to compete at the Tri-State Cup.

Registration Deadline

Registrations close Sunday 5 April at 11:59pm.

Membership

Competitors MUST be a current member of either – NSW Wrestling, ACT Wrestling or Wrestling Victoria.

Waiver and Agreement

Please read the Waiver and Agreement form carefully. 

By selecting I Agree on the event registration form you are confirming that you understand the conditions of this waiver and agreement and consent to behave in such a manner as to not break this agreement.

ATTENTION

Reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity, the schedule includes a dedicated time slot for athletes who, due to their religious beliefs, cannot compete in front of men.

These divisions are held first thing in the morning, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, ensuring a private and respectful environment. During this time, the entire facility is closed off, creating a women-only space. Out of respect for the competitors, no photos or videos are permitted at this time.

From 10:00 am onwards the venue is open to everyone.

On Competition Day

Age: 10 years and up

Weight divisions: Competitors are grouped in the weight ranges below. Exhibition matches are also arranged on the day.

If you are 16/17/18 years old please enter your weight and age in the registration form and we will assign you to an appropriate division.

Match format: Round robin (guaranteed 3 matches)

Weigh ins: Weigh ins open 1 hr and 15 mins before the first match. Weigh ins close 60 mins before the first match.

Rule Set 

United World Wrestling’s women’s rule set. We have a “rules chat” with all competitors before the matches start.

Coaches

If you have no corner on the day, we will assign someone to you for your matches.

Spectators

All welcome, unless stated otherwise.

Spectator Fee
