Wrestling Australia is inviting eligible athletes to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for selection to the 2026 Commonwealth Wrestling Championships, to be held in Polokwane, South Africa, from 4–6 December 2026.

EOIs are open for the following age groups and styles:

• Senior, U20 and U17 Freestyle
• Senior, U20 and U17 Greco-Roman
• Senior, U20 and U17 Women’s Wrestling
  
  Athletes wishing to be considered must submit the online EOI by 11:59pm AEST (9:59pm AWST) on Monday, 21 September 2026.

All athletes must review the 2026 Commonwealth Championships Event Nomination Criteria before submitting an EOI. Selection will be based on demonstrated performance, international competitiveness, readiness to compete and alignment with Wrestling Australia’s High Performance objectives. Submission of an EOI or satisfaction of the eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection.

Wrestling Australia may enter a maximum of two (2) athletes per weight category and is under no obligation to nominate athletes in every category.

Subject to available funding, financial support is intended to be provided to athletes categorised under the Wrestling Australia Athlete Categorisation Framework. Athletes who are not categorised at the time of selection should expect to fully self-fund their participation.

Before submitting your EOI:

• Read the 2026 Commonwealth Championships Event Nomination Criteria.
• Confirm that you are a current financial member in good standing with Wrestling Australia.
• Confirm that you are eligible to obtain a UWW licence and represent Australia internationally.
• Provide accurate and complete information regarding your competition results, current training and readiness to compete.

EOIs close: 11:59pm AEST, Monday, 21 September 2026.
