  • 2026 U20 World Championships - Bratislava, Slovakia
  • 2026 Veteran World Championships - Amman, Jordan
  • 2026 Senior World Championships - Astana, Kazakhstan

This information is being provided to ensure the selection process is clear, transparent and available to athletes, coaches, clubs and families across Australia.

Any athlete wishing to be considered for selection must submit an EOI by the relevant deadline set out in the policy:

  • U17 Freestyle / Women’s: 15 June 2026
  • U20 Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women’s Wrestling: 1 July 2026
  • Senior Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women’s Wrestling: 1 July 2026
  • Veterans Freestyle and Greco-Roman: 1 August 2026

Late EOIs will not be accepted

All EOIs are to be submitted through the CombatAUS EOI process, as outlined in the information below. This ensures all applications are received and recorded through the correct high-performance channel and considered consistently under the approved policy.

Athletes are asked to read the below policy carefully before submitting an EOI. In particular, athletes should note that eligibility includes being a current financial member in good standing of Wrestling Australia, being eligible to obtain a UWW licence, satisfying the relevant international eligibility requirements, and meeting the selection considerations outlined in the policy.

For clarity, submitting an EOI does not guarantee selection. All selections will be considered in accordance with the approved policy and remain subject to final approval by the Wrestling Australia Board.
