Wrestling Australia Inc is the Peak Australian (National) Sporting Organisation for the Olympic sport of wrestling in Australia.
We exist to develop wrestling in Australia, including Freestyle, Women’s and Greco-Roman Wrestling as well as the non-Olympic Beach Wrestling and SOMBO and Indigenous styles of Wrestling.
The associations role is to encourage and develop the widest participation and highest proficiency in the sport of Olympic Wrestling within Australia.
Through the development of coaches and officials,the association provides leadership to the sport and enables the states of Australia the ability to coordinate programs and activities.

Australia have qualified four athletes for Wrestling at the 2016 Olympics.
- Vinod Kumar at 66kg Greco-Roman
- Ivan Popov at 130kg Greco-Roman.
- Sahit Prizreni 65 kg Freestyle
- Talgat Ilyasov 74kg Freestyle
